Karin and Brook Adcock, the directors of Pandora (Australia and New Zealand) have been awarded the Diploma of the Danish Export Association’ and His Royal Highness Prince Henrick’s Medal of Honor.
The Medal was presented in honour of the Adcock’s outstanding success in developing sales and brand awareness of Pandora jewellery in Australia and New Zealand.
The couple launched Pandora in Australia in October 2004 from a garage in one of Sydney’s northern beaches’ suburbs. Today the brand is stocked by more than 690 retailers in Australia and New Zealand and has “a prompted brand awareness of 59 percent”.
In addition Australia now accounts for around 20 percent of Pandora’s global sales and is the brand’s second largest market.
Danish ambassador Susanne Shine presented the Medal to the Adcocks on behalf of HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark at the Sydney Opera House Utzon Room earlier this month.
