A Sydney mother-of-two has won a $20,000 diamond encrusted ring in a competition to celebrate the opening of Musson Jewellers’ store in the city’s Queen Victoria Building.
Designed by Olivar Musson and featuring the 1-carat ‘Sun Struck’ diamond set in 18 carat white gold, the ring was the main prize in an online competition organised by Musson Jewellers and the QVB.
Strathfield resident Sandra Fong said it was a privilege to be able to receive such a sought-after diamond.
“I love diamonds like every lady of course,” she said.
“They truly are every woman’s best friend and this ring is exceptionally beautiful.”
Musson Jewellers founder Robert Musson presented the ring to Ms Fong in the QVB store.
Born, raised and schooled in Strathfield himself, he said he was “thrilled to see a Strathfield local take out the prize”.
“Having grown up in the inner west, I’m glad to see ‘Sun Struck’ will be going to a wonderful home.”
The competition attracted over 6000 entries from around Australia.
