Following the opening of its first Australian twinstore in the Sydney CBD last year, Bvlgari will open an even larger one in Melbourne this month.
With 400 square metres of internal space and “10 giant external showcases”, the new store, which comprises a jewellery and watches store and an accessories store, will be more than six times larger than the Melbourne store it replaces.
Bvlgari Group CEO Francesco Trapani said the opening would affirm the company’s position as one of the biggest luxury players in Australia.
“Bvlgari is committed to Australia as a strategic market for growth and this new Melbourne store will house complete collections of jewellery, watches and accessories, offering an unparalleled shopping experience,” he said.
The Melbourne store will be the first store in Australia to feature the company’s new “trademark” design concept – polished Gris Pulpis marble pilasters that highlight the store’s two entrances and exterior showcases.
The new building’s façade will also “be animated by a rain of silver and gold-coloured fibre optics cascading from the ceiling”.
Inside, the store will be divided into three rooms – the first dedicated to “basic and medium jewellery and to sport and basic watches”, the second dedicated to “high jewellery and watches” and the third a private VIP room.
The new store is located at 123 Collins Street.
