The Fascination by Graff Diamonds
Graff Diamonds has unveiled a US$40 million watch emblazoned with 152.96 carats of white diamonds and topped with a 38 carat D Flawless diamond at BaselWorld. According to the London-based jewellery company, the Fascination watch is the world’s most valuable “transformable timepiece” as the diamond centrepiece is “an interchangeable element” which can be worn “as the centrepiece of a highly sculptural bracelet or placed into a bespoke shank and worn as a ring”. Graff Diamonds founder and chairman Laurence Graff said the timepiece demonstrates the close collaboration between Graff’s London and Swiss ateliers.
“We are inspired by the rarest and most precious diamonds – their influence is evident throughout everything we do. The Fascination is an outstanding piece, carefully crafted so it can be worn in a number of different ways, adding a touch of magic to the jewel.”
“It perfectly encapsulates the ethos of our business, from sourcing the very finest diamonds, uncovering their potential through our cutting and polishing divisions, pushing the boundaries of design, meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail – resulting in the creation of the most fabulous jewels in the world.”
“It is a true celebration of our diamond mastery.”
The Fascination is the second timepiece that has made a big impression for Graff at Baselworld.
Last year, the then first time exhibitor at the international watch fair, launched the fancy coloured diamond-covered Hallucination, which it billed as the world’s most valuable timepiece with a price tag of US$55 million.
