Tag opens flagship in Brisbane

TAG Heuer has opened a flagship store in Brisbane's MacArthur Central shopping complex.

TAG Heuer has opened a flagship store in Brisbane’s MacArthur Central shopping complex.

The store, which opened for trading on October 1, follows the “outstanding success” of the company’s Sydney and Melbourne flagship stores, and “represents the next phase in TAG Heuer’s luxury retail concept strategy that will eventually see flagship stores in every key city in the country”.

Occupying the corner of Brisbane’s Edward and Elizabeth Streets, the multi-million dollar store is inspired by the company’s French-designed Sydney flagship “which set a new benchmark for the Swiss watch industry”.

“We are excited to bring the full TAG Heuer lifestyle experience to Brisbane, a city that has always embraced our brand with great passion”, said TAG Heuer’s general manager for Australia, Philip Richards.

TAG Heuer opened its first flagship store in Australia in Melbourne’s Collins Street in early 2010 and then opened its Sydney’s flagship on the corner of Pitt and Market Streets later in the same year.

The grand opening event for the Brisbane store will take place in early November.

In addition to TAG Heuer being the country’s largest luxury Swiss watch brand, Australia enjoys the highest penetration of watch sales per head of population in the world for the brand.
