Jewellery industry professionals from around the world will be able to discuss the state of the pearl industry from the comfort of their own desks in the second edition of the Jewellery Online Conference.
Scheduled to go live from 10pm -12pm Sydney time today (June 14), the online conference will feature talks by “industry giants” such as Robert Wan of Robert Wan Tahiti, Jacques Branellec of Jewelmer, Peter Bracher of Paspaley Pearls Group, Rene Hodel of Hodel (Hong Kong), Andy Muller of HINATA Trading and Alan Lee of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery.
Conference moderator Letitia Chow said the conference will focus “on how industry members can improve their performance, which markets to address and the challenges to look out for”.
“It is time for a broad international exchange on pearls, all along the product line from cultivation to retailing,” she said.
“We have lined up industry experts – top managers of pearl cultivators, wholesalers and retailers – who are most familiar with the issues and concerns of the pearl industry, and who can share their insights on new markets, products, technology and strategies.”
The online conference is free of charge.
