Maurice Lacroix has appointed Hong Kong television singer and actor Dicky Cheung as its first brand ambassador in the rapidly growing Asia market.

Since the release of a new brand philosophy slogan ‘Follow your convictions’ last year, Maurice Lacroix has endorsed “a list of internationally well-known inspirational persons” as brand ambassadors −  rock star Bob Geldof, golf player Justin Rose and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

Maurice Lacroix CEO Martin Bachmann said all the company’s new brand ambassadors, likeMaurice Lacroix, “have been true to themselves and followed their beliefs in their journey to success”.

Dicky Cheung is an ideal candidate for our first Asia ambassador as he has been striking for the best in his career and has never given up in the past 20 years,” he said.

“Thus he has truly followed our brand philosophy ‘Follow your convictions’, by having the courage to be who you really are and staying true to your beliefs.”

Cheung began his show business career in the early 1980s right after he championed the 3rd Annual New Talent Singing Awards in Hong Kong in 1984.
In 1996 his portrayal of Monkey King character in a TV drama made him hugely popular.
During 2000 to 2004,  Cheung starred in several hight rating TV dramas such as ‘Duke of the Mount Deer‘ and ‘Taichi Master’.
More recently he organised seminars in Hong Kong and Mainland China to encourage young people by sharing his own stories and experiences in show business.
