Pandora is sponsoring Girls Aloud’ 10th anniversary tour of the UK next year.

The ‘Girls Aloud Ten, The Hits Tour 2013’ marks ten years since the girl band was formed on the ITV1 program ‘Popstars: The Rivals’.

Under the sponsorship deal, the five band members have each designed their own Pandora bracelets which are now being promoted in all Pandora UK stores.

In addition the band members have worn their bracelets in their new music video ‘Something New’ and in several short films where “they talk about unforgettable moments throughout their lives”.

In one of the films, which can be viewed on the Pandora UK website, Cheryl Cole mentions her performance at The Queen’s Jubilee earlier this year as the reason for selecting a sterling silver crown charm as the centrepiece of her bracelet.

Pandora Western Europe president Peter Andersen said the company was delighted to be working with Girls Aloud.

“For us, they are the perfect band to support,” he said.

“They appeal to a wide family audience, most notably the female demographic which is key for us.

“We hope the activity throughout our stockists and on our website will capture the excitement of the reunion and allow fans to share their experiences and memories of Girls Aloud.”

Although Girls Aloud currently has no plans to tour Australia, Pandora Australia vice-president of marketing, Glenda Wolman, said the company was certain that news about the band members’ Pandora bracelets would “filter through to Australian fans”.

All charms used in the girls’ bracelets are available locally and we encourage girls to visit their local Pandora stockists to create their own Girls Aloud band member bracelet,” she said.
