After 39 years trading on Sydney’s north shore, Musson Jewellers has opened its doors in the centre of the city in the Queen Victoria Building.
“A fusion of industrial chic and Parisian glamour”, the store features “internal and vertical viewing windows in lieu of a traditional counter display” and houses two VIP viewing rooms complete with digital displays.
According to managing director Damien Musson, the new retail site represents the first phase of expansion from the Musson’s studio in Chatswood.
“The expansion into Sydney’s inner city ensures Musson will be able to reach a broader market of jewellery lovers of all ages,” he said.
“For Musson it is the realisation of a planned expansion into the capital of Australian style and design.
“It allows us the opportunity to offer our CBD, eastern, western and southern suburb clientele a stunning and luxurious location in a beautiful environment to showcase our fabulous jewels.
“It also allows our international guests the exclusive leisure and deluxe feel in viewing our rare Australian collectable pieces.”
At this stage, Musson isn’t planning to open any more stores.
“It took us six months to manufacture the fitout for this store and five years to find such a great location as the ground floor of the Queen Victoria Building,” said creative director Olivar Musson.
“The next Musson boutique will be interstate or overseas.”
