The stunning Van Cleef & Arpels Jarretière cuff bracelet, made of rubies and diamonds, is set to go up for auction at Christie’s this June. This piece is a perfect addition to any collection as the cuff was made in 1937 by Louis Arpels for actress and singer, Marlene Dietrich.

The Jarretière was made out of jewels Dietrich already owned and then the piece was immortalised in Alfred Hitchcock’s 1950 classic, Stage Fright. After Dietrich’s death in 1992, the bracelet belonged to the granddaughter of US President Dwight Eisenhower, interior designer and philanthropist, Anne Eisenhower.

The piece was a part of the Magnificent Jewels of Anne Eisenhower Collection which will be auctioned off in New York as a part of Christie’s Luxury Week. The Jarretière estimated worth is between $2.5m and $4.5m. The auction is scheduled for June 7th with additional jewels offered from Eisenhower’s collection to be featured and will be open for bidding from May 30th to June 8th.
