WA-based miner Burgundy Diamond Mines has hit the mainstream news with recent coverage on Channel 7 in August and a feature in the business section of the Western Australian, one of the country’s more widely read newspapers.
The coverage is due to the release of the company’s Maison Mazerea collection which was launched in Paris last month. The collection features fancy yellow diamonds from the Ellendale mine in the Kimberley and is a luxury range with pieces priced from $50,000 to more than $5 million.
Director Peter Ravenscroft says he sees a strong demand for fancy coloured diamonds.
Burgundy will launch a bridal collection with Perth-based Solid Gold Diamonds at the end of August. The range is intended as an entry-level collection with luxury mined gems at an attainable price.
