Iconic Jewellery has launched an “affordable” collection of pink diamond jewellery onto the Australian market.
Created by Sydney-based jewellers Antonio Kelzi and Kalleh Levonian, the collection features Argyle pink diamonds set in nine carat rose gold and sterling silver.
Recommended retail prices start at $159 for an ‘Angel’ pendant set with a 0.01 carat pink diamond to $799 for the Maral engagement ring set with 0.10 carats of pink diamonds.
Iconic Jewellery managing director Bella Kennedy said the collection was a “totally new concept” in the local jewellery market.
“Pink diamonds are now affordable,” she said.
“Consumers can buy a piece of diamond jewellery cheaper then they can buy a piece of cubic zirconia jewellery.”
She stressed that the key to successfully retailing the collection was recognising and promoting its uniqueness.
“Pretty Pink Jewellery is affordable diamond jewellery – it is not sterling silver jewellery with diamonds in it,” she said.
“Therefore the collection should be displayed in the diamond jewellery section of a retail store rather than the sterling silver jewellery section.”
There are two distinct ranges within the Pretty Pink collection: the Kimberley Classic and the Argyle Collection.
“The Kimberley classic range is more classic and traditional while the Enchanted Argyle designs are fresh and modern,” she said.
“We believe that there is something in the collection for everyone – a great gift for a new born baby to a 100-year-old woman.
Kennedy added that the collection, which is supported with extensive marketing materials including display stands and packaging, authenticity cards, posters and brochures, had received a “positive response” from retailers around the country.
