Guess Watches has launched the One to Watch – Global Blogger Search, an international competition for fashion-savvy content creators.

According to Cindy Livingston, the president and CEO of Sequel, the competition will act as a discovery vehicle to find brand ambassadors for Guess.

To enter, bloggers will have to create personal profiles showcasing their fashion style on Guess Watches Facebook page (which currently has over 1.2 million fans) and then share their profiles through their social networks in an effort to receive Style Points from all their friends and followers.

At the end of the 90-day entry period, the top ten candidates in each country with the most Style Points will move on to the next round and be asked to submit a blogging assignment. Their submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges and two One to Watch finalists will be chosen to represent each participating country.

Each finalist will receive worldwide recognition as an official contributor to the Guess Access Blog as well as Guess Watch products.

Livingstone said that instead of showcasing the brand’s voice, the competition would give consumers the chance to share their voice.

“This is a great opportunity for our brand to be able to partner with young bloggers from around the world and let their voices be heard on a global platform,” she said.

“We will be able to showcase their talent on the Guess Access Blog and inspire others to be a part of the Guess Watches lifestyle.”

The Global Blogger search begins next month with finalists due to be announced in September.
