After more than 35 years making and selling fine jewellery, Nicola Cerrone, one of Australia’s most successful jewellers, has joined the Nationwide Jewellers buying group.
Cerrone said he is excited to have the opportunity to work with Nationwide’s premium diamond brands, particularly the Tolkowsky diamond jewellery range.
He is also keen to incorporate Gabi Tolkowsky’s latest diamond cut, which is due to be launched in Antwerp next month, in some of his jewellery designs.
Cerrone opened the doors to the first Cerrone Jewellers store in a terrace house in Sydney’s inner-city Leichhardt in 1974.  Since then the business has grown to six times its original size and expanded to include two other stores in the centre of Sydney – one in Castlereagh Street and the other in Martin Place.
Nationwide Jewellers director Barry Jackson said visiting the House of Cerrone in Leichhardt was “like stepping into another world”.
“I have visited some beautiful jewellery stores both here and overseas but I have never been into a better presented store than Cerrone,” he said.
“Customers visiting a Cerrone store would be impressed by the quality of the stock, the elegant displays, highly trained staff and the general ambience.
“We are delighted that Cerrone has chosen to join Nationwide Jewellers.”
