Brink’s opens centre in Melbourne

Brink's Australia has opened its first 'state-of-the-art' diamond and jewellery service centre in Melbourne.
Brink’s Australia has opened its first “state-of-the-art” diamond and jewellery service centre in Melbourne.
Services at the new secure facility include parcel pick-up and drop-off; in-house customs clearance; secure logistics consulting; private inspection rooms with diamond scales and lighting; and secure valuable storage.
Brink’s sales and logistics manager Baskaran Narayanan said the new facility offered an improved service for its local and interstate customers.
“Brink’s has been meeting the needs of the Australian jewellery industry with its door-to-door armoured truck service for over 20 years but the new facility will offer a better service as customers can now drop their parcels to us at their convenience,” he said.
Narayanan said the new service centre could also provide travelling customers with an operating base “where they are able to have their merchandise inspected in a secure private inspection room”.
Brink’s is accredited by the Jewellers Association of Australia and is an official secure logistics and vaulting provider for international and Australian jewellery fairs.
The new facility is located at 227 Collins Street in Melbourne.
