Autore’s head designer Alession Boschi was named Italian Jewellery Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Award’s this month.
Boschi, who began working for Autore three years ago, said Autore gives him “freedom to create beautiful pieces using wonderful South Sea pearls in my signature style”.
“Along with customers who continue to praise the collections, it’s of course fabulous to see Autore designs being recognised by professionals in the industry.”
Meanwhile Autore CEO Rosario Autore said he was “incredibly excited and proud to see Alessio’s talents recognised again at an international level “confirming him amongst the best jewellery designers in the world today”.
“This award takes him to the next level, and is a clear endorsement of the Autore vision and the entire team’s dedication, talent and skill. We continue to support his magnificent creations and congratulate him on receiving such a well-deserved accolade.
“As an Australian company, it is wonderful to receive international recognition, and to have further opportunities to bring our South Sea pearl designs to the attention of the world.
“Both Alessio and I were born and raised in Italy which has had an obvious influence on Autore’s design philosophy.”
According to Rosario, the jewellery pieces that impressed the judges included “gem-encrusted sea creatures from the Oceania collection and the innovative use of diamond slices and other unique gems in Fire & Ice collection”.
The UK Jewellery Award is the third international award for Autore in the last 12 months – the company won Best New Jewellery Collection in 2008 for Vogue, Spain and the Best Pearl Design Award at the Las Vegas Couture Show.
