Autore, the Australian South Sea pearl company, opened its first Australian flagship store in Sydney’s CBD this month with a “gala VIP event” attended by some of Sydney’s best known faces including Ian Thorpe, Kerry Stokes, Sophie Faulkner, Annalise Seubert and Alice Hocking.
According to Autore CEO Rosario Autore, the new store located at 104 King St, is set “to catch the eye of discerning shoppers as it takes its place among Sydney’s most prestigious brands”.
“The move into retail is an obvious one for us,” he said.
“The King St store offers perfect exposure and will be fitted out to reflect the company’s Italian heritage, as well as beauty and hand-crafted classicism.”
He said the King St store would give customers a glimpse into the design process involved in creating the company’s jewellery.
“As with all luxury goods, the creative design process is articulate and involves numerous steps. We intend to allow our customers to see the inspiration behind those pieces, to share in the journey of the pearl from pristine waters to an intricately designed piece of collectable art.
“After the enthusiastic responses to our pearl jewellery at BaselWorld, Vicenza and Hong Kong trade fairs this year, we can’t help but be confident about bringing our passion, design and workmanship to a retail store in Sydney.”
