Over 250 Australian and international jewellery suppliers, including over 60 new exhibitors, will showcase their latest jewellery and watch designs at the 21st annual JAA International Jewellery Fair in Sydney next month.

According to Gary Fitz-Roy, the managing director of fair organiser Expertise Events, the Fair will bring together “the industry’s most comprehensive gathering of suppliers” and give retailers “an unparalleled view of the market from which to make discerning choices and broaden their outlook from their existing base of suppliers”.

“Retailers are seeking to gain competitive edge in the face of challenging economic times,” he said.

“This has prompted an overwhelming response from the industry with over 60 new suppliers having signed on to exhibit at this year’s Fair, offering a broad spectrum of brand new products and services to excite and encourage sell-through.”

The new suppliers include Daniel Bentley Fine Jewellery, Glass of Fire, U Designs, Diadema, Bjorg Jewellery, Kirstin Ash, Preyas Jewellery, Acacia Agencies and Inner Power.

Other new attractions at this year’s Fair include three new buyer precincts:  the Retail precinct (cater solely to those specialising in retail services and equipment), the Brilliance precinct (focusing on precious gemstones suppliers) and the New2 precinct (showcasing new industry faces and innovations).
Fitz-Roy said jewellery retailers should attend the fair as “in a challenging retail climate, jewellers with a competitive edge will improve their prospect of success”.
“ will give jewellery retailers the opportunity to distinguish their business by stocking cutting edge products for Christmas – giving them a competitive edge over their competitors.”
The JAA International Jewellery Fair will be held from September 2- 4 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour.
