A 22-year-old entrepeneur has launched America’s largest online jewellery retailer ICE in Australia

Nick Molnar, the son of Sydney jewellers Ron and Michele Molnar, said www.iceonline.com.au was the first pure play online jewellery retailer in Australia and would challenge traditional retailers with prices at least 50 per cent lower than retail.

Molnar said he saw a gap in the Australian online market when he started selling jewellery on eBay and became the site’s largest jewellery seller within a year.

He then “identified an opportunity” with ICE and approached the company in a bid to launch the brand in Australia.

“I was shocked none of the big retail chains here were operating in this space so decided to challenge them.”

He said the launch of iceonline.com.au would enable Australians to enjoy the same style and prices as Americans with local customer service.

“The brand has an established reputation for beautifully designed fine jewellery at affordable prices.

“The ability to team up with the largest online jewellery retailer in the US allows us to supply Australian consumers with fantastic product at prices they should be paying.”

Since its launch in America in 1999, ice.com has become #1 in traffic in the online jewellery category in the US market with an average yearly growth rate of 30 percent.

Molnar is passionate about the development of www.iceonline.com.au and said he planned to create a similar path of exponential growth in Australia.
