On a sparkling spring day in September the JWNZ welcomed 46 local and Australian exhibitors to its new Trade Fair venue, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Westhaven, Auckland.
1/4 Cheers! John Rose, of West End Collection, celebrates a day of trading with the Champagne Lady.
The event was held over two levels at the 151-year-old private club, the holder of the America’s Cup. A unique destination for most.
2/4 Exhibitors Helen Finlayson and Phil Edwards, Duraflex Group Australia.
“After postponing the event three times, we were able to finally proceed with our JWNZ Spring Trade Fair 2022 at our new venue,” said Craig Anderson, Executive Secretary of the JWNZ. “We received very favourable comments from both visitors and exhibitors about the venue, especially its location and the views on offer from inside and outside of the building.
3/4 The Champagne Lady.
“To be able to reconnect with jewellery and watch industry participants face-to-face was an important part of our Fair, as New Zealand still had some restrictions in place due to Covid. These restrictions were dropped three days after the Fair.
4/4 Exhibitor David Paterson, Paterson Fine Jewellery
“Visitor pre-registrations exceeded expectations; suffice to say we enjoyed an increase in visitors as compared with our 2019 Trade Fair. We all look forward to next year, with the Fair date being September 10 and any new exhibitors wanting to take part in 2023 should contact inklink@xtra.co.nz.”
Another novel attraction came at the end of the Fair’s trading day. The Champagne Lady greeted guests with her ‘skirt’ brimming with bubbles.
A fitting finish to a stand-out, happy day.
