Brisbane-based specialty watch importer and retailer Define Watches is holding an online auction to support the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

The auction, which features Armin Strom, Joerg Schauer, MeisterSinger and Muehle Glashuette watches, will take place via an online platform at www.definewatches.com.au until midnight on Sunday February 27.

Define Watches managing director Peter Petzold said the total retail value of the watches is in excess of $25,000 and all proceeds will be directly donated to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.

“We feel very strongly that national and local businesses should assist in any way possible,” he said.

“As with many companies we have also donated a portion of our sales turnover to the Premier’s Appeal but the watch auction is one way for the companies we represent to show their support.

“We were overwhelmed by the concern shown by our German and Swiss partners through the donation of timepieces and their offers of assistance.

“These manufacturers are not big name watch companies backed by wealthy groups − they are small, high-end, producers who hand create watches and don’t on-sell them with massive margins so their donations are even more meaningful,” he concluded.

Full details of the auction, watch models and reserve prices can be accessed via www.definewatches.com.au or by contacting Petzold on (07) 3395 7728.
