Zeon Limited, the largest manufacturer and distributor of watches and clocks in the UK, has signed an agreement with British luxury fashion brand Vivienne Westwood to design, market and distribute a collection of Vivienne Westwood watches.
The first products will be launched at Baselworld in March.
“We are excited to be working with the iconic Vivienne Westwood brand to design and produce what will be a stunning watch collection,” said Zeon managing director Richard Tibber.
Vivienne Westwood managing director Carlo D’Amario echoed Tibbers’ enthusiasm for the new agreement, adding that “Westwood is incredibly proud of her English heritage so we are pleased to be partnering with an English company”.
The watch collection, consisting of ladies and men’s watches retailing for 100 to 500 GBP, will be initially sold through “select, high-end UK department and specialty stores before moving into similar retail outlets across Europe, the USA and Asia”.
Vivienne Westwood, who began designing in 1971, is a two-time winner of the prestigious title of British designer of the year and in 2007 was awarded the Outstanding Achievement in Fashion prize at the British Fashion Awards.
Today the Vivienne Westwood brand distributes four clothing ranges plus seasonal accessories, jewellery, bags, eyewear and footwear collections around the world.
