TW Steel celebrates 1st year in Oz

TW Steel Australasia has just celebrated its first year in Australia as a wholly owned subsidiary.
TW Steel Australasia has just celebrated its first year in Australia as a wholly owned subsidiary.
Managing director Scott Patchett said the company, which opened in July last year and began trading in September 2009, has enjoyed incredible success in its first year.
“We have outperformed the market,” he said.
“The brand’s unique selling points (oversized stainless steel watches with an affordable pricepoint) and our aggressive advertising has helped us stand out in Australia’s cluttered watch market”.
He said the company which advertises in numerous magazine titles including Grazia, Madison, Shop Til You Drop, FHM, Men’s Style and Top Gear, was, according to AC Nielsen, the seventh biggest watch advertiser in Australia in the first six months of 2010.
“In 2011 we will continue to develop our business partnerships and marketing strategy even further in Australia and rollout into New Zealand in February,” he added.
TW Steel Australia is the first subsidiary opened by the Dutch brand which has grown rapidly from a modest four-watch collection in 2005 to an impressive 134-model line-up this year.
TW Steel watches are now sold in Europe, the United Kingdom, North and South America, South Africa and Asia.
