Time Essentials, the distributor of Bulova watches and clocks in Australia and New Zealand, has been named 2012 ‘Distributor of the Year’ at the annual Bulova Distributors Conference in Miami.
Time Essentials managing director John Papaioannou said he was “pretty happy” with the win as the company was in competition with 36 distributors representing over 50 countries.
“It’s not often an Australian distributor gets to be recognised for their efforts,” he said.
“The result is recognition not only of the work all Time Essentials staff have done and the time they have invested in the Bulova brand, but also demonstrates the strength of the brand since it was launched in Australia in August 2010.
“Since then, the brand has achieved incredible results and has reaffirmed our belief that the Australian market was looking for a watch brand that offered an amazing assortment of products, extremely high quality and excellent value for money.”
Bulova, “which offers the biggest assortment of hand-set diamond watches of any brand in the under $1000 RRP range”, is currently stocked in 110 stores and “growing every month”.
“We have many great independent accounts who are doing very well with the brand and we continue to push the milestones in terms of sales units, which increased by over 100 per cent in 2012,” said Papaioannou.
In 2013 Time Essentials will continue to launch new Bulova products and “invest in the market with our retail partners, rather than spend money on one-off events”.
The company will also continue to advertise in national magazines and help retailers promote their individual stores with “decals, window dressing, banners and local area advertising through regional newspapers” as well as social media.
