Roberto Coin has appointed Jessica Kahawaty, Miss World Australia 2012 and the daughter of Sydney jeweller John Kahawaty, as brand ambassador in the Middle East.
Born in Sydney, Kahawaty won the Miss World Australia pageant in 2012 and was then second runner-up in the international Miss World competition in the same year.
Fluent in French, Arabic and English, Kahawaty is now the face and presenter for YAHOO Maktoob’s omg! NOW and omg! NUJOOM shows.
According to Roberto Coin, Kahawaty is the perfect ambassador for the brand because not only is she “extremely beautiful and refined” but also because “she shares with us the love for jewels and the highest quality”.
“Last November we had the chance to meet Jessica thanks to our PR in the Middle East. We were very focused on expanding our presence in the area and Jessica came in the right place at the right time for us.”
In her new role, Kahawaty will attend “all the main fashion and celebrity events in the region” as well as model in the brand’s advertising campaign.
Coin said her appointment had already increased press and consumer interest in the brand.
Roberto Coin founded the company that bears his name in Vicenza in 1977.
The company produced jewellery on behalf of some other prestigious jewellery brands until the Roberto Coin brand was launched in 1996.
Today the brand has over 800 points of sales around the world.
Jessica’s father is the owner of St Germain jewellery stores in Sydney’s Chatswood, Parramatta and North Rocks.
