TWM Co has launched an online platform that promises to make wedding band purchasing faster, more flexible and easier for chain stores and their customers.
According to COO Roberto Ulas, the TWM Co 3.2 PNP enables even the most inexperienced retail sales consultant to provide an accurate on-the-spot quote for the manufacturer’s customised wedding bands.
Ulas said the platform was not “a website with some images of rings showing some price variations” but “cutting edge” software that makes wedding ring sales “effortless”.
Ulas, whose Melbourne-based company manufactures wedding bands in gold, platinum, titanium, palladium and silver, said he introduced the new PNP to improve the customer service side of wedding ring sales in chain stores.
“A lot of manufacturers only concentrate on the profit side of the business but we wanted to focus on product and customer service,” he said.
“When a customer walks into a chain store and says ‘I like the ring in the window but I want it with a band about 2mm wider and diamonds all around’, the sales assistant can use our PNP to instantly find out exactly how much the customised ring will cost – all he/she has to do is key in the variables (eg, metal type and thickness and diamond size and shape) and the system will do the rest.”
Ulas said many stores lose potential wedding ring sales simply because sales assistants can’t provide customers with such a quote.
“If the customers have a quote on-the-spot as well as the promise that if they order straight away they can have their Australian-made dream ring in just seven days they are much more likely to buy than if they walk outside the store knowing they have to wait so long just to get a quote and then even longer for delivery.”
“With our program the sales assistant can tell the customer the quote, close the sale and instantly send through the order to head office and to us.”
Ulas said a “handful of chain stores” have already engaged with the new PNP and had been “thrilled with its performance” as it is “easy to operate” and has generated new sales for them.
