To celebrate the upcoming wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Paterson Fine Jewellery has released a suite of created sapphire jewellery inspired by the engagement ring worn by Princess Diana and now by Kate.
Crafted from sterling silver and set with a 5.63 carat created sapphire surrounded by Swarovski zirconias, ‘The Royal Blue’ ring, pendant and earrings have a RRP of $149.95 each.
Angela Han, head of product development and marketing at PFJ, said the suite is set to “outshine and outdazzle all other reproductions”.
She said that the company had set itself apart from “the flux of lower quality reproduction rings sweeping the globe” by focusing on craftsmanship and presentation and “ensuring that each piece is handset with individually inspected lab-created sapphires and Swarovski zirconia”.
“We don’t believe that quality should be compromised just because ‘The Royal Blue’ is a limited range,” said Han.
“Discerning customers who are looking for quality reproductions of the royal engagement jewel that is well designed, well packaged and well made, won’t mind spending a little more for a quality piece that is classic and has a quality guarantee.
Produced in PFJ’s manufacturing facilities in Thailand, the suite’s designs have been “slightly modified with a contemporary edge while still retaining the classical beauty and glamorous proportions of the original Lady Diana’s engagement ring”.
‘The Royal Blue’ has just been launched at the 2011 London Spring Jewellery Fair and is set for a global launch at the HKTDC International Jewellery Show next month.
In Australia the suite will only be available to Showcase members until July 31 when production will cease.
