Thomas Sabo launched its latest sterling silver collection with a party for around 100 media and local celebrities at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney last week.

The party, attended by Thomas Sabo’s “international team”, was the final destination in the German brand’s international launch for the ‘Pop Now’ collection.

According to Thomas Sabo, the new collection “breaks into the bright and colourful world” of pot art, pop culture and pop music.

“The motifs are wonderfully striking and provocatively tongue-in-cheek, sometimes loud and brash, sometimes with a delicate irony – but always with a glowing intensity.”

He said the Australian celebrities at the launch party (April Rose-Pengilly, Didier Cohen, Erin McNaught, and Maude Garrett) now joined a “host of international celebrity fans including pop star Katy Perry who was recently named as the brand’s inaugural global ambassador.

“Katy is a match made in heaven for us,” said Sabo.

“In terms of her personality and charisma, she is absolutely the perfect complement to our brand, so much so that we just couldn’t imagine a better partner.”

Meanwhile Perry said that she was excited to “make things pop” for Thomas Sabo.

“I’m such a fan of all things cute and collectible– I like the Charm Club the best because I get to make it my own.”
