Peter W Beck, one of Australia’s leading precious metal service providers and wedding ring manufacturers, has just announced plans to close its Brisbane and Perth sales offices next month.

According to an official statement by the Adelaide-based company, the “changing climate within the industry” was the main reason behind the closures.

“For the past eight and three years, the Brisbane and Perth sales offices respectively, have been in operation to assist our Queensland and WA customers with precious metals and retail products and services,” the statement said.

“It is now time, due to the changing climate within the industry, that we sadly must close the doors of both of these offices.”

Peter W Beck client service manager Rebecca Hammond and precious metals consultant Bridget Buchanan will remain “on the road” for the company in Queensland while precious metals consultant Jody Oram will remain “on the road” in WA.

The statement also stressed that Peter W Beck is working “on many dynamic IT projects which will allow the company to service our national and international customer base with increased speed and efficiency”.

“Peter W Beck maintains its unwavering commitment to servicing the jewellery industry with the highest level of professionalism to deliver quality and service as we have done for the past 38 years.”

The Brisbane and Perth offices’ last open day will be December 20.
