Nationwide Jewellers will release the 5th edition of its Repair Price Book at the JAA International Jewellery Fair on August 29.
Nationwide Jewellers managing director Colin Pocklington said the need for a new price book was evident “after surveys indicated that many jewellers were not charging enough to cover their time and materials”.
The inaugural Nationwide Jewellery Repair Price Book was launched in 2005, following “extensive research into the average time and materials required for jewellery and watch repairs”.
Colin says that surveys indicated many jewellers were not charging enough to cover their labour and supplies. “The need for a price book was evident,” according to Colin.
“Recent increases in metal prices and other costs have made a revision of prices necessary,” he said.
The Repair Price Book is currently used by over 250 Nationwide jewellers and watchmakers around Australia.
