Linneys will celebrate the launch of its showroom in the new Westfield Sydney shopping centre tomorrow with the unveiling of the world’s only pink diamond tiara.

Designed by the royal jeweller, Asprey of London, and encrusted with 178 Argyle pink diamonds, the tiara will be launched at a media event at The Ivy and then displayed at the store with a retail price tag of $2 million.

Linneys CEO and pink diamond expert, David Fardon, said the tiara was “the ultimate accessory for an Australian bride who wants a Royal touch on her big day”.

“Rare and intensely beautiful, Argyle pink diamonds have long been coveted by women the world over,” he said.

“It is estimated that mining will stop at Argyle’s pink diamond mine within the next decade and this year the finest pink diamonds produced could fit into the palm of your hand.

“If further proof was needed that diamonds are a girl’s best friend, analysis also shows that pink diamonds have clearly out-performed not only their white counterparts but also real estate and world equity markets.”

The Linneys showroom at Westfield Sydney is the jeweller’s fifth store in Australia – the company has three stores in Perth and one in Broome.
