JCK’s Luxury & Premiere invitation-only trade event for jewellery retailers and manufacturers has been reduced from four to three days in response to the world’s economic crisis.
JCK Events vice-president Yancy Weinrich said the show will now be held in Los Angeles from May 27 to May 29.
“After very careful consideration of the economic market and after talking to both manufacturers and retailers over the past several weeks, we have recognized that three days, instead of the previously announced four days, of a high-end show will better accommodate retailers ‘open to buy’ in these challenging times,” he said.
“Our priority is to continue to support and facilitate the buying/selling dynamic, yet with current consumer demand affecting retailers’ inventory levels we want to minimise any additional financial and time-constraint pressure on our customers.”
Weinrich said that despite the shortened time-frame, the Luxury & Premiere show, like all JCK events, would “deliver the same level of service that our customers have come to expect”.
“We will continue to refine and redefine what retailers and manufacturers want at this year’s JCK events,” he said.
