The National Council of Jewellery Valuers will be running a HRD Antwerp Institute of Gemmology workshop and diamond grading course in Adelaide in September.
Participants completing the 2-day workshop (covering synthetics, treatments, imitation and fancy coloured diamonds) and/or the 12-day diamond grader course will be awarded certificates on completion.
NCJV president Kym Hughes said it was the second time the Council had been able to offer the workshops in Australia.
She said that no prior learning was required to attend the September 26-27 workshop ($1400) and/or the September 12-24 course ($3360) which offer participants hands-on experience studying “an extensive range of coloured and synthetic diamonds in a volume never seen before in Australia”.
