Burleigh Showcase Jewellers on the Gold Coast took home the Australasian Retail Jeweller of the Year award at Showcase Jewellers 2011 annual conference.
Presenting the award to store owner Catherine Pevy-Trewartha, Pandora CEO Karin Adcock said it was rare to find a jewellery store like Burleigh Showcase Jewellers.
“All retail jewellers are given access to the same products, brands and services,” she said.
“It is extremely pleasing to present this award to Burleigh Showcase Jewellers who deserve recognition for doing such an exceptional job and prevailing in today’s economic retail market.”
Pevy-Trewartha, who has more than 35-years of jewellery buying and selling experience as both a wholesaler and a retailer, said she was excited to win the award.
“When you consider the level of great Showcase stores around Australia and New Zealand, I am so excited to win this award.
“I am also extremely proud of my fantastic team at Burleigh Showcase Jewellers, many of whom have been there since the store opened in 2002. Their dedication to the jewellery industry has helped make Burleigh Showcase Jewellers legendary within the trade.”
Burleigh Showcase Jewellers has previously won Showcase’s Australasian Retail Jeweller of the Year award in 2007 and were finalists in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.
