American jewellers raise over US$100,000 for Haiti

Members of Jewelers of America and Jewelers for Children have donated US$111,280 to support victims of the Haiti earthquake.

JFC will distribute the members’ contributions to Direct Relief International, Save the Children and the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
JA and JFC said many industry members made donations to their web-based fundraising drive but special thanks for notable donations were due to Sterling Jewelers, Tiny Jewel Box, Hearts on Fire, Richline Group, Hamilton Jewelers, Centurion Jewelry Shows, Diamonds-USA and the employees of Ben Bridge Jeweler.
On January 12 an earthquake struck Haiti leaving approximately 200,000 people dead and 300,000 injured.
