Last month, the Jewellers Association of Australia (JAA) board announced the appointment of Joshua Sharp as JAA president, after the resignation of Karen Denaro.
Karen stepped down as president and director and the JAA board was swift to extend their gratitude and to Karen for her enthusiasm and commitment to the JAA during her time on the board.
Joshua Sharp joined the JAA board in 2021 and took the helm from the vice president role.
Joshua has been the general manager of Ian Sharp Jewellery for the past 15 years, where his focus has been in business operations and finance. His jewellery specialties within the business include diamonds and secondhand jewellery. Joshua also joins a strong background in banking and finance to his new role at the JAA.
Ronnie Bauer moved into the role of vice president, and Cameron Marks assumed the role of treasurer. Both Ronnie and Cameron have served on the JAA Board for several years and hold vast industry experience.
