The National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV) congratulate all who have completed their gemmological qualification and encourage you to take the next step to applying your knowledge.
The 10789NAT Diploma of Applied Gemmology (Valuation) is the next step in applying your knowledge as it builds on your gemmological qualification and helps you to understand quality. You may never wish to produce a valuation or report however, this course has a wider application and does more than help you understand what makes a gem or an item of jewellery the price it is. It also teaches you about your legal obligations as a jewellery professional and, if you choose to produce valuations or reports, the course provides you with the information to set up this area of your business.
This course is intended for those seeking the following occupational roles:
- jewellery valuers and gemmologists
- jewellery consultants
- insurance claims consultants and valuers
- jewellery retail and wholesale managers, supervisors and buyers
Program outline
The delivery methodology will combine self-paced online learning with assessment activities (on-the-job) and face-to-face practical tutorial/assessment workshops (off-the-job).
