Fabergé has celebrated the opening of its first US boutique with an exclusive garden party in partnership with the New York Botanical Garden.
Located at 694 Madison Avenue in New York, the boutique evokes the spirit of the company’s flagship store in Geneva with silk curtains and wall panels, a brushed oak floor and a rich purple button-backed wall.
The new boutique will house Fabergé jewellery, timepiece, cufflink and silver collections as well as the new Les Précieuses de Fabergé collection which pays tribute to the company’s historic links with “America’s great families” like the Vanderbilts, Forbes and Morgans.
The New York boutique is the fourth store to be opened by Fabergé since its resurrection at the end of 2009 which saw the opening of the Geneva boutique and the launch of three Les Fabuleuses de Fabergé jewellery collections.
Since then the company, with Katharina Flohr as creative and managing director, has opened a boutique in London (November 2011) and in Hong Kong (December 2011).
Guests at the New York boutique opening garden party were treated to Russian inspired cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 620 Loft & Garden atop the Rockefeller Center.
