Hearts On Fire has announced plans to open 50 to 75 new stores around the world in the next five years.
Announcing the company’s expansion plans at the opening of “a revolutionary new retail experience” in Las Vegas, Hearts On Fire CEO Glenn Rothman said all its new stores would be “designed to transform the way consumers relate to and buy fine diamond jewellery”.

Innovative features of the new retail concept include:

♦  Eye-level transparent  ‘jewel boxes’ that replace long display cases and, for the first time position the sales associate and customer on the “same side of the counter”

♦  A digital ‘knowledge wall’ that enables consumers to learn about all aspects of the Hearts On Fire brand and send items to a virtual jewellery tray for a sales professional to deliver to view, try on and purchase
♦  A ‘community table” that encourages shoppers to interact and confer with each other as they try on diamond jewellery

According to Rothman, today’s discerning and digitally-savvy consumers “have come to expect an exciting and engaging retail environment that offers quick and easy access to merchandise”.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new retail concept, which is breaking down traditional barriers and making fine diamond jewellery purchases inviting, educational, interactive and fun.”

The new Las Vegas store is the first in Hearts On Fire’s international retail expansion strategy which also aims to include 10-15 leases in premium locations across the US by the end of 2013.

Hearts on Fire diamonds and diamond jewellery are currently sold in 650 retail outlets in 34 countries including 14 stores in Australia.
