WA-based jewellery retailer Linneys is hoping to make its customers Christmas wishes come true this year with a collection of 10 Argyle pink diamonds valued at $4 million.

Made up of stones ranging in size from a 0.30 carat fancy vivid purplish pink heart shape priced at $100,000 to a 1.25 carat fancy vivid purplish pink heart valued at $975,000, the collection has been drawn from tenders over the past six years.

According to Linneys CEO David Fardon, it is the “largest and most valuable collection of pink diamonds in Australia”.

“Linneys is presenting the collection as the rarest of Christmas gifts so we hope they will appear under a Christmas tree as a very special gift,” he said.

“Pink diamonds are a girl’s new best friend with research showing that as an investment, pink diamonds have outperformed white diamonds, Australian real estate and international equity markets over 10 years.

“This is one gift that will grow more rare and valuable every day. If another pink diamond deposit isn’t discovered soon, the world’s supply will be exhausted in less than 10 years.”

The collection is now available to view at the Linneys WA showrooms in Subiaco and Burswood until Christmas Eve.
