In its first major consumer competition, TW Steel is offering two Australians the chance to drive a Formula 1 car in the Lotus Renault ‘iRace’ Day in Budapest.
The competition is open to any one who purchases a TW Steel watch from an authorised stockist from April 1 to July 31.
TW Steel Australasia marketing manager Megan Lauritz said the promotion will be supported by a national advertising campaign in magazines such as Men’s Style, Men’s Health, FHM, Virgin Voyeur and Top Gear as well as some outdoor advertising and “window campaigns” at TW Steel retail stockists.
She said TW Steel’s status as official timing partner of the Lotus Renault F1 Team gave the company access to “VIP experiences with the team”.
“At the recent Australian F1 Grand Prix, some of our lucky retailers were given an amazing opportunity to get a tour inside the Lotus Renault garage to see the engineers at work.
“However, this is the first time any of the countries have used the iRace as an end-consumer promotion. Based on the success of the promotion, it is something that TW Steel will look at introducing into other markets as well.”
