Neuman set to auction O

Mondial Neuman will auction a Argyle Pink Diamond Limited Edition O Pendant next month.
Mondial Neuman will auction the Argyle Pink Diamond Limited Edition O Pendant, marked #1, next month.
All the funds raised from the auction will go towards Sydney-based Indigenous school Gawura which supports literacy and numeracy programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
To commemorate the Argyle Diamond Mine’s 25th anniversary, Argyle created 100 ‘Argyle Pink Diamond O Pendants’ – each rose gold pendant is pavé set with approximately 1.3 carats of Argyle pink diamonds and individually numbered and certified.
“We are extremely honoured to have received the #1 pendant and we predict it will be in very high demand, so we decided to auction it for a greater cause,” said Michael Neuman, gemmologist and co-owner of Mondial Neuman.
“We’ve chosen to donate the entire proceeds to Gawura because we feel strongly about sharing our good fortune in having been awarded pendant #1 and are keen to do something positive for the Indigenous community.
“Health and education are major Indigenous issues and Gawura is a local initiative doing great work in education and worthy of more support.
In 2006 Mondial Neuman created a coloured diamond jewellery range, ‘Diamond Dreaming’, in collaboration with Aboriginal designer Alison Page, so we’d really like to continue and extend upon that existing foundation.
The Auction will be held at 6pm on May 3 at the Mondial Neuman store in the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney.
