Following the successful debut of the first Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair in February, the Antwerp Diamond Bourse has announced the dates for the second fair – January 30 to February 2 next year.
Bourse president Artur Beller said that both the fair’s formula as well as its performance had proven to be highly successful.
“Even before the first fair ended, it was clear, to both the exhibitors as well as to the bourse membership at large, that this fair has the potential of becoming one of the anchor events on the diamond business’ annual calendar,” he said.
“The concept, the timing, the layout and the design, as well as the execution of the event, they all proved to be spot on.”
For the 2011 Fair, the bourse will invite a hand-picked group of European diamond buyers, in particular jewellery manufacturers, designers and leading jewellery retailers, giving them “an exclusive opportunity to meet Antwerp’s leading diamond traders and thus gain access to an unparalleled selection of diamonds”.
“We’re already in the process of putting an exclusive list of invitees together,” Beller said.
“And with the support of the Antwerp World Diamond Centre, as well as that of governmental and other trade bodies, I am confident the 2011 edition of the Antwerp Diamond Trade Fair will be a great success.”
