In a spectacular celebration of empowerment, elegance, and philanthropy, the Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) is set to host the highly anticipated WJA Ruby Gala on November 2nd, 2023. This momentous event not only marks the 40th anniversary of the WJA but also promises an enchanting evening of glamour, networking, entertainment, and giving back.
The WJA Ruby Gala will transport guests into a world of timeless glamour and sophistication as it unfolds at The Pool in the iconic Seagram Building, New York City. Built in 1959 and meticulously restored in 2016, The Pool showcases elegance and architectural brilliance. The venue’s prestige, renowned for hosting some of the city’s best events, is the perfect backdrop for this special occasion.
The evening will commence with a red-carpet entrance, with the illustrious Patrick McMullan via Getty Images capturing guests in their finest moments. Upon entering, guests will be greeted by butlers serving champagne, setting the stage for a captivating night ahead.

Guests will step into an elevated cocktail reception featuring immersive experiences and entertainment. The culinary delights, presented by Major Food Group, will showcase hors d’oeuvres and gourmet dinner stations from some of New York’s most celebrated restaurants. An array of cocktails, spirits, champagne, and wine will flow freely throughout the evening, catering to every palate.
The evening’s entertainment promises to be unforgettable, including a harpist and percussionist who will serenade guests with spectacular tunes. Aerialists by Astarte Creative will perform against the backdrop of ethereal backlit window chain curtains. Internationally acclaimed urban rhythm musicians Drumadics will bring high energy to the night, with John Green, president and chief executive officer of Lux Bond & Green, serving as the emcee. Founding members, international board and chapter past presidents, and scholarship recipients will be recognised for their contributions to WJA.

The highlight will be a thrilling auction led by renowned gemmologist and jewellery specialist Caroline Ervin. The featured lot, provided by Inspirato for Good, is a luxurious five-star corporate retreat package with a six-month Inspirato Travel membership. A paddle raise will also be conducted, inviting guests to contribute to the mission of WJA through their bids.
Following the auction, guests will be treated to a spellbinding performance by Astarte Creative, seamlessly weaving together the elegance of Moulin Rouge and the vibrancy of modern-day pop style in New York. The night will culminate with an electrifying performance by Lorenzo Laroc on his signature five-string plexiglass electronic violin, playing a range of musical styles.
The WJA 40th Anniversary Gala aims to raise funds to support the mission of The Women’s Jewelry Association. Across nineteen national chapters and two international, the organisation encourages connections and collaboration through meaningful relationships and volunteering, providing a range of educational and mentorship opportunities.

The proceeds from each gala ticket and sponsorship will go towards the Women’s Jewelry Association Foundation, the philanthropic arm of WJA, which distributes grants and scholarships. By raising funds during the WJA Ruby Gala, the organisation aims to ensure that women continue to thrive in the industry for generations.
