Australian stainless steel jewellery company, Tuskc, has shocked the Australian jewellery with its sudden closure on Friday, September 20.
In an email to over 200 resellers around the country, Tuskc managing director Dave Randall said that due to subdued trading conditions encountered by Tuskc over the last couple of years, Optimum Initiative Pty Ltd (trading as Tuskc) had voluntarily ceased trading with immediate effect.
“No new orders can be accepted and orders still outstanding in our system not yet delivered have been cancelled,” he said.
“Accounts with balances still outstanding should please be paid to Tuskc at our usual address … in the normal time periods.
“The owners and staff of Tuskc thank you for your support since the brand was launched some five years ago and we take this opportunity to wish you all the very best as business builds towards the busy Christmas trading period.”
Tuskc was in the process of being sold to International Brand Distributors (IBD) in the months prior to this week’s announcement but IBD pulled out of the sale, which was due to be completed at the end of this month, after managing director Hannes Coetsee completed his “due diligence”.
