Messe München, the event company behind international jewellery fair Inhorgenta Munich, has received the go-ahead from the Bavarian State Government to resume trade fairs from September this year.
A two-day pilot project will run in July and its success will be dependent on an elaborate infection prevention and hygiene concept including social distancing of the participants, the ventilation of the exhibition halls, the wearing of FFP2 masks, as well as the traceability of all participants. All participants at the pilot project and all upcoming events must meet the following criteria: be tested, recovered or, critically, vaccinated.
The move should prompt other trade fairs to head in the same direction, meaning that vaccination rates here in Australia become increasingly important if anyone in the industry wants to attend an international fair this year.
