Oris Australia general manager Peter Borghouts said that under the partnership Oris will launch a RFDS Limited Edition watch on March 26 and donate a percentage of each sale to the organisation.

“Oris is a company which sees beyond mere commercialism,” he said.

“Oris is ‘Real watches for Real People’.

“We do not use ‘personalities’ to promote our watches but real people and real organisations

“The Royal Flying Doctors help real people in real trouble.

“I think this is a great partnership and I could not be more proud in our association with the RFDS.

“Our worldwide reach will also give exposure to the RFDS in all continents and hopefully raise awareness of this organisation with generous individuals who may then like to support the cause additionally.”

RFDS Victoria CEO Scott Chapman said he warmly welcomed the new partnership with Oris.

“The RFDS is a non-profit organisation that relies on the support of the Australian community, including the business community, to continue delivering its services across Australia. We are delighted to have Oris on board.”

Starting with a single flight in 1928, the RFDS now operates a fleet of 61 aircraft, 21 aero-medical bases and five remote primary health care facilities.
