Hearts On Fire has announced that it will be the jewellery sponsor for the Miss Universe Australia pageant from 2013 to 2015.
Jeni Langanke, the principal of Jewels Australia Marketing which brokered the deal, said the pageant would provide a unique opportunity to showcase Hearts On Fire diamonds with more than 20 events already scheduled in the lead-up to the Miss Universe Australia 2013 pageant.
“The first opportunity came last Wednesday in Sydney where Miss Universe Australia revealed the national costume to be worn by current Miss Universe Australia, Renae Ayris, at Donald Trump’s Miss Universe finale next month in America,” she said.
Under the sponsorship agreement, Hearts on Fire will supply the ‘Crown’ for the Miss Universe Australia pageant from 2013-2015 while the reigning Miss Universe Australia will wear the brand’s jewellery at red carpet-, racing- and media-events.
Miss Universe Australia is a national beauty pageant that selects a representative to go to the international Miss Universe pageant which is owned by Donald Trump and NBC.
There have been two Miss Universe title holders from Australia − Kerry-Ann Wells in 1972 and Jennifer Hawkins in 2004. However, Hawkins, Rachael Finch, Erin McNaught and Jesinta Campbell are probably the best known Miss Universe Australia title holders.
Hearts On Fire is sold in 650 retail outlets and 14 flagship stores in 34 countries including Australia and New Zealand.
Langanke said the pageant is now on the look-out for a watch sponsor.
