Osjag has launched Marc O’Polo Jewels in Australia.
Craig Symons from Osjag said the licensed jewellery collection is an extension of the Marc O’Polo fashion brand which has over 1000 retail outlets in Europe and Scandinavia.
“The Marc O’Polo brand is a major player in the ‘premium casual lifestyle’ fashion sector, sitting alongside other well known brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger and Max & Co,” he said.
“Marc O’Polo Jewels fits with our stable of medium- to high-end silver collections from Germany.
“It is designed to appeal to independent and young career women with discretionary spending power – a strong and growing target audience.
“We also feel confident there is more room for better quality silver in our marketplace as more independent jewellers consider their stock mix in the future.”
The launch collection of sterling silver jewellery features “natural semi precious gems such as carnelian, chalcedony and turquoise” in predominantly antique or “used-look” designs.
Symons added that although the Marc O’Polo brand is only currently known to ex-pat Europeans/Scandinavians and well travelled locals, the company is nonetheless confident “that many people will feel they know Marc O’Polo, possibly without recognising why”.
“It’s a very good label and that alone, will give the collection a head start.”
