Lion Brands  has secured the exclusive distribution of Victorinox Swiss Army watches in Australia.

Lion Brands founder Graeme Goldman said the watches were an ideal fit for the company as Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces are Swiss-made, the brand is well known internationally, and the company is an independently-owned family business.

“Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces add to our multi-brand strategy and perfectly complement our current suite of brands which allow our retail partners to profit from all price segments of the watch market,” he said.

“The timepieces are ideally suited to the Australian consumer and the price points and ranges will allow our retail partners to build a sizeable and profitable business with the sale of Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces to both local consumers and international tourists.”

Victorinox Swiss Army was founded in 1884 by Karl Elsener and is renowned worldwide for its first creation, the Original Swiss Army Knife, which “inspires all Victorinox product lines including the Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces”.

Goldman said the Victorinox timepieces are designed and manufactured with the same rigorous attention to quality as the brand’s “legendary pocket tools” and also “meet the highest standards of the Swiss watchmaking industry”.

“The quality controls and testing that every timepiece undergoes allow Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces to offer a three-year warranty,” he said.

“Victorinox Swiss Army timepieces are designed to optimise their usefulness with functionality ranging from easy-to-read dial designs to sophisticated professional functions.

“The goal is to create watches that are multi-functional precision instruments engineered to last yet also timeless and contemporary in design.”
